NFM's SIGNIFICANT DONATIONS
Kentucky Arms at the NRA

A recent donation of several antique Kentucky arms from Dr. Harmon and Joey Leonard has given the National Firearms Museum a new exhibition of arms in the front lobby. As part of their trip through the galleries, visitors can look over the following collection of rifles highlighting the innovative work of craftsmen that built some of the finest long rifles:

  • Melchior Fordney (circa 1820) heavy barrel maple-stocked flintlock rifle with horsehead patchbox and double-set triggers.
  • George Graeff (circa 1775) flintlock rifle. Signed Lancaster incised carved stock rifle with daisy-head patchbox.
  • Peter White (circa 1830) converted percussion rifle with signed lock and seven silver inlays. Early Bedford County rifle.
  • Wolfgang Hage (circa 1785) flintlock rifle with raised stock carving.
  • Leonard Reedy (circa 1780) single trigger engraved flintlock rifle with incised carved stock.
  • J.P. Brooks flintlock pistol. Made in 1982 with silver wire inlays and engraving.
  • John Palm (circa 1820) swivel-breech silver-mounted flintlock double rifle. NRA Silver Medal #266.
  • J.P. Brooks flintlock rifle. Made in 1981 with raised carved ornamentation and silver inlays.
  • John Philip Beck (circa 1820) incised carved maple-stocked flintlock rifle.
  • Jacob Albright (circa 1790) maple-stocked flintlock rifle.
  • London-made (circa 1775) copy of Lancaster incised carved flintlock rifle.
